The CT Nurse Wellness Project is rooted in collaboration and compassion, bringing together nurses, healthcare organizations, and wellness advocates from across Connecticut under one shared belief: when nurses thrive, healthcare thrives.
This initiative serves as a unified platform to amplify the voices of nurses, share evidence-based wellness practices, and cultivate a culture of emotional intelligence, resilience, and community support. Dr. Wendy Garvin Mayo is a doctorate-prepared nurse practitioner, stress strategist, and founder of The Stress Blueprint. With extensive experience in oncology, mental health, and nurse wellness, Dr. Garvin Mayo is dedicated to empowering healthcare professionals and cancer patients to thrive through stress management, emotional intelligence, and holistic wellness.
In 2025, she launched the CT Nurse Wellness Project, a statewide initiative focused on promoting wellness, resilience, and emotional intelligence among nurses across Connecticut. Her work bridges clinical expertise, leadership, and advocacy, fostering collaboration among healthcare organizations, professional associations, and wellness advocates to create sustainable, systemic change.
